Oh for your smile
And the way that your eyes
Bring order to the night.
The gentle chaos of your hair like a halo
Changes the darkness;
An explosion, like ringlets of light.
The graceful arch of your back,
The shimmering skin
That it thrills me to touch.
The curves of your body wrapped
Within my encircling arms
Is a glory to hold.
But for those succulent lips
Where would I be
You’ve breathed life into my soul.
But for your kiss
I’m just shadows. Living a half-life
I wouldn’t be whole.
