Like Honey Be

Honey, I want your love to flow,
Despite the great divide.
The difference in space and time
That separates heart from heart.

That keep different rhythms,
Roll to different beats.
But still, shake with the passions
That flow thickly in this summer heat.

Silence Screams Out

The silence of the scream,
Lungs bursting, roiling,
Maelstrom escaping.
I cannot connect
Back into the disconnection.
The static’s code provides no illumination.
Just darkness enveloping me. Floating,
Electrifying, frightening,
Gravity weakening; slowly
Atoms disintegrating.

Exhalation of Water

Stillness,
A momentary calm
Like the heart breaths before
The exhalation of water
From the lungs of a drowning man.

A baptism of desire,
Of cold, cold fire.
The absence of touch
In a universe without feeling.
Just the biology of the vacuum
Without emotion only needing,

Then the tsunami.
Colours exploding, overwhelming;
Like a million hands
Reaching out of the darkness
Touching skin, caressing my mind.

The Feels

Hit me in the feels,
hit me where it hurts.
Make me fall in love
or fall apart.

The gentlest caress
Of your body against mine
Leaves me trembling.

Anticipation

Glory be to the moment
The ecstasy of not knowing
Just anticipating
And hesitating
On the threshold of a room.
For eyes to lock
And imagination to unfold
Into a dream,
When I see you again.

The silence of this season
Completes me.
The Night holds me in her arms,
The darkness drapes her body:
Caresses my feeling in the coldness
Of her ebony being.
I plunge into the heart of her,
And in falling I shine.

Snatches of song.
When are you coming home?

Sojourns in love
Hand-in-hand, in glove.
Ecstasy and echoes,
Last chance, last throw.
That kiss; a summer game.
That always ends the same.
I walk away
You let me go.
I want to stay
But I don’t know
The words I want to hear
And what it is I fear.
Is it love’s demands;
Deep waters; shifting sand.

Snatches of song
I hear again.
Or passion and thunder.
I fear the flood begins
With this single drop;
Becomes never ending reign.
And I’ll lose sight of land.

Take me under
Hold my hand.

You

The dancer twirls around the floor
Dancing for her own reflection,
Mirrored there upon the walls.
Why would she wish to dance with another,
When no one else understands the music’s call.
“Oh you pretty thing,” the music acclaims her.
The one and only, the belle, the dance desires her.
“Oh you pretty thing,” with every swish and glide,
The ecstasy, as the music rides her.

After the moment

Only the shell is left,

Abandoned and lost.
