I remember a world that has gone, beyond.
Out of sight, behind a door now locked to me.
I remember a world beyond these walls,
Beyond these shadows that lurk watching me.
I remember a breath, a gentle breeze
The lapping waves the blue, blue sea.
Mountains, birdsong, treetop sky,
Out there waiting patiently, to return to me.

You have to drive with your eyes
If you want to get there alive.
Or you can kick your shoes off,
Take it easy and just ride.
Knowing every day you die a little inside.
Put your sunglasses on or take the time.
Be a passenger, honey, or read the signs.
Stay up to see the sunrise; see the colours; live a life.
You can drive this life
Or be a passenger and just ride.

I am small
Neglected and broken
In favour of newer toys
Bright and shiny
But it would be wrong
To throw me away
And misplace the memory
Of the adventures
That we imagined together
And the games we have played
