Equal And Opposite

Are you watching from the shadow?
Are you still feeling me?
Do I create a silhouette of something
In your mind? Do I
Bring forth waves of emotion
In the depth of your soul?
Am I responsible for tidal forces
Like those that exist between
Earth and Moon?
Is there still a gravity,
Something greater to come
Out there for you and me?

Luna, Luna

Day 23 and a poem that I found I had written on the back of an old envelope and forgotten all about …

Made of sticks and stones

Luna, Luna impossible,
Girl dancing by the light of the moon.
Dancing with stars in her eyes,
Barefoot and wild – my beautiful Luna
Hoping the morning
Doesn’t come too soon.

Night in Shining Armour

The night in shining armour
Rediscovers my moonlit memories.
How the mighty are humbled
When uncovered by the moonbeams.
Treasure of my beating heart
A taste of your honey lips,

The forgetting that happens
When we’re together.
The wasted hours
When we’re apart

And I long for wine and song again.
Safe, with you in my arms.
Sí, mi amor. Sí, mi amor.

Winter moon

Day 5 and a poem which is to be included in my first collection, out next year, along with plenty of all new poetry.

Made of sticks and stones

Whose is the moon

That floats on high;

That lights my way

On winter nights,

That sails above

And reflects below.

Whose is the moon?

Not mine, I cry.
