Wish Upon

Sky searching, scanning the horizons of night
For a glowing ember of yesterday
To pin my hopes upon.
While the darkness is wrapped about me
Like a blanket, for the unbroken hours until the dawn.

Flight of the Unbeliever

If I had wings, if I could fly,
To lift me up before I die.
To move beyond this fragile state
To the horizon, before is too late.
I’d fly off to uncharted shores
That my kind had not espied before.
I’d fly out far cross tropic seas
Until I found somewhere I could believe.

Catch a falling star
And try your best to keep it.
Don’t let the hate
Steal the light from you.

Catch that falling star
And then you share it.
Someone will always
Light the way for you.
